He's a "shepard mix" and pretty cute. it's funny I always said I wanted a "red dog with stick up ears and a curl around tail" Well he's red, his tail curves up, but doesn't quite curl, and his ears are sort of up then down. He can stick them up though when he wants. He's so great with the kids. Gentle and stuff. He does have sharp nails though so he has accidentally scratched them. They are taking that in stride though. They are over the moon to have a dog.
He wasted no time making himself at home here. You cannot tell we have not had him for months. I walked him this morning and he didn't pull the leash or anything. He would sit for me when kids came by (lots of kids walking to elementary school here). He knows "Sit" and does it for me about 8 times out of 10. I'm teaching him "Hold" for stop when we are walking, he did do a "shake paws" once for me. We shall see. We are going to do obediance training with him though to help out.
He is a chewer though. I got him some good toys for that, so I hope he likes them. he's not chewing furniture, but the kids toys. They keep GIVING him the toys so that's not helping. But it's not a huge issue.
